All scrubbers for Hastrman rebreathers are completely intercheable among all models. This assures the best setup for a given dive. There are several sizes and configurations that allow to match scrubber duration and charactersitics to the mission requirements The Chlorinator The 'Chlorinator' is the smallest of all Hastrman Scrubbrers. It is an axial scrubber with 3 lb capacity and 60 min duration*. It is suitable for short dives or for divers with low metabolic rate. It is a favorite of my 7 years old daughter.   The Pipe   The most popular scrubber in the Hastrman lineup is the 'Pipe'. The axial design and larger capacity make it an ideal 'general use' scrubber, with much longer duration*. The cannister is made from a 4" pipe join, the end-caps are threaded pipe caps epoxied into the pipe ends. The caps have 1 1/4" PVC elbows inserted through the center.   Inside top end-cap is a space for sensors, inside the bottom one is a moisture collecting material. The scrubber material is separated by an inner lid covered with a fine mesh.  *These statements were evaluated by the EDL CzN/A by the means of WAG** method. **Wild Ass Guess method is very popular at EDL for its ability to deliver requested results on extremely compressed timetable. .
